The largest intermodal freight facility in Alaska, the Port of Anchorage (POA) has provided Alaskans with uninterrupted service since 1961. With four bulk carrier berths and two petroleum berths, the POA is the main entry point for 90% of the goods for 85% of Alaska. The POA provides essential fuel supplies to the Anchorage and southcentral area and serves as the entry point for additional goods and cargo distributed to rural Alaskan communities.
