Alaska Chamber issues statement on AG rejection of private sector investment

Anchorage, AK - The Alaska Chamber believes it is unwise to use scarce State funds to invest in projects when private sector investment is available. We are discouraged that the Attorney General rejected private sector investment in the Titan LNG plant at Pt. Mackenzie particularly from a business that has a successful track record. Hilcorp has built a solid, credible and successful track record in Alaska through its Cook Inlet and North Slope investments.

The State of Alaska needs private sector investment now more than ever. The State's action snubs private investment and sends a clear message to all current and potential future investors, "We don't need or want your investment."
