Anchorage, AK – The Alaska State Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the call for nominations for the 2014 Top Business Awards is now open.
Celebrating its 50th year, the Top Business Awards recognize the accomplishments of leading businesses, chambers of commerce and individuals in their contributions they make to our statewide economy. The awards are presented in four categories that include:
- Bill Bivin Small Business of the Year Award
- Local Chamber of the Year Award
- William A. Egan Outstanding Alaskan of the Year Award
- North Star Award
Once the nominations are in, a distinguished panel of judges from members of the Alaska Chamber will select the top individuals to be awarded. When the situation warrants it, the Alaska Chamber awards a North Star Award to an individual or organization in Alaska, who through a special project, action, or concern, developed or pursued the endeavor for the betterment of all Alaska residents.
"The Top Business Awards are designed to find and showcase individuals or organizations that have provided a significant contribution to the future of the Great State of Alaska,” said Rachael Petro, President/CEO of the Alaska Chamber.
Top Business Award winners will be featured at the Awards Gala on October 22, 2014 at The Hotel Alyeska in Girdwood, Alaska and in the January issue of the Business-to-Business Newsletter.
