Name: 2017 Alaska Chamber Fall Forum
Date: October 10, 2017 - October 12, 2017
Registration: Register Now
Event Description:
Utterly worthless. That's how a congressman from Missouri described Alaska in 1867, when the United States bought it from Russia. Today, after 150 years as a U.S. possession and 58 years as a state, Alaska has produced resources worth more than $1 trillion dollars.

Come join the Alaska Chamber for its 2017 Fall Forum on October 10-12 in Sitka, Alaska. Held annually around the state, the Chamber's Fall Forum highlights issues of statewide importance, sets its policy agenda and celebrates the accomplishments of a leading business, local Alaska chamber of commerce and an outstanding individual.

Our theme, A Tale of Two Economies: Then and Now, will look at how Alaska's economy has evolved since the purchase from Russia. This year's Fall Forum, will fittingly be in Sitka where the sale of Alaska to the U.S. occurred on March 30, 1867.
