The Alaska Chamber will host the annual Policy Forum on Tuesday, October 12th, from 2-4pm. Due to the current COVID case counts and hospitalizations, this event will be held virtually, by Zoom. The Policy Forum is for members only. The purpose of the Policy Forum is for Alaska Chamber membership to add relevant positions to the Chamber’s advocacy platform and make necessary revisions to the 2020 Priorities & Positions. The positions highlight the core issues that impact businesses across the state and provide direction to staff and board members in their advocacy efforts for the upcoming year.
During the Policy Forum, proposed positions are discussed and voted by the body of the membership with only those receiving a majority vote being adopted. This is your opportunity to learn, weigh-in, and vote on policy positions that have been brought forward through the Legislative Affairs Committee and now on to membership. Only one representative per Alaska Chamber General Member and Local Chamber in good standing, may cast a vote. As an Alaska Chamber member, now is the time to make your voice heard. Participating in the Alaska Chamber's policy formation process provides an opportunity to fulfill our vision: To promote a healthy business environment in Alaska.
Although we are virtual again this year, we will strictly adhere to the “one member, one vote” policy and voting will be anonymous as it has been in previous years.
Once registered and payment is made, a link for the Zoom call will be sent directly to each attendee.
